What do we mean by Minor Cosmetic Defects / Blemishes?

What do we mean by "Minor Cosmetic Blemishes / Defects"?

Almost every handcrafted instrument has a unique "birthmark" of some kind. These may include small scratches, finish imperfections, wood grain irregularities, paint inconsistencies, minor dents, or other purely cosmetic marks that occur during manufacturing, shipping, or handling.

At Sangeet Store, we believe in complete transparency. In fact, we are one of the very few stores, and quite possibly the only one, that actively photographs, zooms in on, and discloses cosmetic blemishes whenever we notice them.

Because our photos are taken up close and often zoomed in specifically on the blemish, the imperfection may appear larger or more noticeable in the photos than it does in person. Many customers tell us that when they receive their instrument, the blemish is much less noticeable than they expected.

Most importantly, cosmetic blemishes do not affect the instrument's sound quality, playability, structural integrity, or overall performance unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Our goal is simple: we'd rather over-disclose than under-disclose. This approach helps ensure there are no surprises upon delivery and allows our customers to purchase with confidence.
