The introductory portion of the curriculum is designed so anyone can begin learning dholak, even without previous percussion experience.

You’ll learn:

• Proper dholak hand technique

Part 1 — Intro to Dholak & Keherwa

Part 1 builds your foundation and introduces practical accompaniment material centered around Keherwa Taal, one of the most widely used rhythms in bhajans, devotional music and folk music.

Part 1 includes:

• 54 Bhajan Thekas in Keherwa Taal
• 24 Mukdas
• 2 Laggis
• Beginner through advanced accompaniment techniques
