This 20″ hand-engraved red sheesham dholak by Chetram Gill is built for openness, depth, and natural resonance. The extended body length and dense sheesham shell create an exceptional open tone, allowing strokes to breathe with wide sustain, clear projection, and a strong, grounded presence. Detailed carving across the shell enhances both visual character and structural integrity, while the overall balance supports confident, expressive playing. A commanding dholak designed for players who value open response, tonal space, and authentic handcrafted character.
